Noah Purifoy Site Use Permission Guidelines

The mission of the Noah Purifoy Foundation is to preserve and maintain the art site developed by Noah Purifoy in Joshua Tree as an Outdoor Desert Art Museum of Assemblage Sculpture that is open to the general public. Visitors must be aware that the grounds are a museum and that the Noah Purifoy Foundation holds the copyright on all artworks on the premises. The artwork should be treated and viewed the same as one would at an indoor museum. No handling, climbing, moving or removing any objects, or defacing the site in any way.

Parties who wish to professionally film or photograph at the Museum must receive permission from the Foundation which reviews requests on a per case basis. If NPF deems a project within the scope of its goals, renters must release the Foundation from any claims resulting from any and all accidents, personal injury and/or property damage, and remit an agreed upon Site Use/Supervision fee. Renters must also present a certificate of liability insurance. 

Please note that as a rule we do not allow music videos, weddings, dance, or performance video shoots at the Museum. Drones used for any reason are not allowed on site.

The Museum is available from sun up to sundown, but will not close to the general public during film shoots. There are no restroom facilities available on site. Upon departure the Museum must be clean and left in the same condition as it was prior to the shoot.

Any person or commercial entity seeking to conduct a guided tour of the Museum for financial remuneration must first request permission from NPF at noahpurifoyfdn@gmail.com
